“The Council has launched an online Image Archive with around 7,000 pictures of the borough dating back to the late 1800s. Over the years, the Council’s Local Heritage Library has built up a collection of around 60,000 images of Stockport. The images date from the late 1800s to the present day, and cover the borough of Stockport and surrounding areas.
