Located on the first floor of the All Saints Library, the Local Collection consists of published material relating to the Greater Manchester area. Although most subjects are represented, the collection is particularly rich in books on social and industrial history including parish registers and the histories of individual towns. Other well-represented topics are religion, technology, art and architecture, and literature. The material in the collection is for reference only and is identified on the catalogue by the words Local Collection Reference.
