Find it! article finder

  • Use this form to locate a specific article for which you already have a reference.
  • You cannot use this form for searching for articles by keyword! See our guidance on finding journal articles for advice on how to do this.
  • Fill in as much detail as you can, but don't worry if you can't fill in every box.
  • Fields highlighted and marked with an asterisk (*) are the most important, and you should at least fill in these fields, in order to obtain good results.
  • On submitting the form, a Find it! menu will open in a new window, with either links to the full text of the article, or information on how to obtain a print copy if we don't have access to an electronic version.
Title information
Date information Use the drop-down lists to build the date.
Often you'll only have the year if the journal uses volume and issue numbering.

Volume, issue and page information Some journals may just have dates, with no volume or issue number.
If you don't input the start page, Find it! will only be able to link to the journal's home page, not the article.

Standard numbers If you have the ISSN, DOI or PMID, these can help to identify the journal and article precisely.

Author information Enter details for the first author, if the article has more than one.
