The toolkit is designed to provide sources of inspiration and practical advice for institutions wishing to implement Information Skills or enhance an existing Information Skills programme.
The resources in the toolkit are drawn from three sources:
The resources demonstrate Information Skills training in practice in a wide variety of institutions, from modest Post-16 colleges to large universities, providing useable examples for every kind of library/information service.
the big blue project surveyed present practice in Information Skills Training for students in Higher and Post-16 Education.
the big blue was funded by the Joint Information Systems Committee and managed jointly by Manchester Metropolitan University Library and Leeds University Library.
